Whether during a trip or as an immigrant, we are always asked if there are masses and cults of the most diverse religions in Portuguese here in Mickey land.

We decided to do some research and put together in this post all the churches with mass in Portuguese, all the churches with services in Portuguese representing the most diverse religions.

The largest representation of the Portuguese language in Mickey land is the Evangelical or Christian church with more than twenty churches with services almost exclusively in Portuguese, but almost all religions can be found in Orlando with masses and services in Portuguese.

Of course, we always suggest that those who are going to buy a house in Orlando and immigrate get used to the English language, after all, living in a country and not speaking its language is extremely limiting, but in the beginning, Portuguese-speaking churches with both masses and services in Portuguese are useful for their inclusive aspect.

It is very common for Portuguese-speaking churches and cults to have programs to integrate immigrants with their new nation, so that even before they get used to the language of their new country, they can feel welcomed by people who share their faith,

Of course, knowing where the Portuguese-speaking churches and services are isn't just useful for those who are immigrating and looking to keep the faith. For example, every time I travel to a city I don't know, the first thing on my list is the local Baptist church, so that on Sunday I can experience the local service. The great thing about this attitude is that as well as keeping the faith and my conversation with God, I end up getting closer to the behavior of that community.

Once my wife and I went to a Baptist church in a very small town in North Carolina called High Point, we were clearly the only people in the church that everyone didn't know and immediately everyone made a point of greeting the outsiders, I almost felt like I was in a scene from the movie Footloose, but after dancing was allowed again.

Here in Orlando, my family and I attend First Baptist Orlando Church in the American service, that is, in English, but in that same church it is possible to attend the service in Portuguese with simultaneous translation or go to another part of the church where there is a Brazilian ministry that is done entirely in Portuguese
