The town of Winter Park is truly enchanting with its wide, tree-lined streets. It's no wonder that it's one of the most sought-after for those looking to buy a house in Orlando, alongside Winter Garden and Windermere. As well as its excellent location - it's 30 minutes from International Drive - it has plenty of entertainment options, top universities and schools and very spacious homes. It's the perfect mix for anyone thinking of living with their family in Florida.
Winter Park is one of the oldest cities in the greater Orlando area, and to this day one of the most sought-after, as it offers an excellent quality of life and a certain refinement to the lifestyle of its residents. It's an upscale neighborhood, but it's possible to find affordable homes, especially in the older part.
It is home to Rollins College, the first university in the State of Florida and the best in the country in the field of Arts. For this reason, the city has a very strong cultural scene. Residents can enjoy a wide range of attractions including museums, exhibitions by famous artists, recitals, theater performances, music festivals and open-air concerts.
It was created to attract wealthy families in the north of the country who wanted to escape the harsh winter. Florida's mild climate appealed to this public, and so major investments were made in the region to please the noble class.
The construction of the railroad made it easier to reach the city, and was one of the key points for the city's growth. The opening of the University in 1855 and the construction of Disney were also major drivers of the region's development.
Today, the stunning city center is part of the National Register of Historic Places in the United States.
Why invest in Winter Park?
It's a city that's already well-established and still has a lot of potential for growth. As already mentioned, there are excellent entertainment options in the city, as well as highly regarded schools and universities. All the public schools have an A rating, and this has a direct influence on the quality of life in the area.
What's more, two of the five universities in Winter Park are among the best in the country: Rollins College - focused on the Arts - and Full Sail University - with strengths in Communication, Design, Business and Games.
It also has a reference hospital, AdventHealth, which has several specialties and an excellent structure.
Winter Park houses are usually very spacious. In addition, investors can choose between older or modern homes. All of them have an added charm. What changes is the buyer's style and the price. But it is undoubtedly a region that guarantees itself as an excellent real estate investment.
