Orlando is the largest metropolis in the USA in terms of growth in the working-age population (aged 18 to 64).

Orlando not only leads the nation in job growth. It is also the largest in population growth. From 2016 to 2017, the four-county region that makes up the Orlando MSA - Lake, Orange, Osceola and Seminole County - grew 2.3% to reach a population of just over 2.5 million people. This growth rate is more than double the national growth rate and the highest of the 30 largest cities in America. For comparison, two of the other fastest growing American cities, Atlanta and Denver, grew by 1.5% and 1.3% respectively. Following at number 2 and 3 were Las Vegas with 2.2% and Dallas with 2.0%. It's clear that the Orlando region is growing both in terms of population and employment. Anyone who thinks that Orlando is the "happiest place on earth", simply because of its attractions, doesn't know the half of it.
